S\u00e9bastien Pitt is a digital artist from the Laurentians, Qu\u00e9bec, whose interdisciplinary practice spans audiovisual installations, performance, augmented reality, and NFTs. Recognized by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec, he creates generative and interactive works using a custom-built performative system, combining high-definition 3D elements with modular sound compositions. His work investigates the tension between perception and emotion, revealing the intangible through algorithmic textures, virtual fragments, and immersive rhythms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, he launched Fragments, a large-scale generative art project minted on-chain, conceived as a distributed visual system. With over 300,000 editions minted, Fragments challenges the boundaries of digital reproduction, uniqueness, and decentralized engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His works have been featured on platforms such as Blackdove (2024), TheCurated.app (2023), and ArtificialMuseum.com (Vienna Art Week, 2023), and exhibited at major events including Miami Digital Art Fair during Miami Digital Art Week (2024), First Friday \/ Digital Dreams KC in Kansas City (2024), Nathan Philips Square in Toronto (2023), New City Gaz \/ OxSociety in Montr\u00e9al (2022), and the SAT [Symposium IX] in Montr\u00e9al (2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 2025
Fragments of Segments<\/a><\/strong> is a collection of 96 still images (1024×1024) derived from S\u00e9bastien Pitt\u2019s generative works Segments [horizontal]<\/em> and Segments [vertical]<\/em>. Each image captures a suspended instant\u2014where light, form, and texture meet at the edge of transformation\u2014offering a glimpse into shifting densities and ephemeral structures. Echoing the intimacy of miniature painting, these stills distill dynamic compositions into standalone digital artifacts. Since March 12, 2025, over 342,234<\/strong> fragments have been minted across Polygon and Linea blockchains. Each fragment embeds a cryptographic memory\u2014a signature and a dynamic QR code\u2014linking back to its generative source and reflecting on the circulation, presence, and evolving value of digital art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dec. 2024
Archives<\/a><\/strong> is an interactive digital tableau based on the piece of the same name from the Segments [horizontal]<\/strong> collection on Blackdove Art<\/a>. Showcased at Miami Digital Art Fair<\/a>, during Miami Art Week, it uses the LiDAR capabilities of the iPhone to subtly detect people\u2019s presence and establish an affective connection through their movements, shifting the landscape in real-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May 2024
Espace d’un scandale<\/a><\/strong> was unveiled during the First Friday event by Digital Dreams KC<\/a> and is showcased on one of the eight Blackdove Art screens at this unique digital gallery in Kansas City throughout the month of May. Non-fungible Token (NFT) minted on Arbitrum via Transient Labs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Segments [horizontal]<\/a><\/strong> and Segments [vertical]<\/a><\/strong> are two collections of real-time generative artworks, rendered in 4K at 60 frames per second (H.264 \/ H.265) for digital display. They are featured in the catalog of the international digital art platform Blackdove<\/a><\/strong>, alongside artists such as Refik Anadol, Daniel Canogar, Esteban Di\u00e1cono, and Bryan Brinkman. These works unfold in slow loops where light becomes both substance and motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
